Is your food really #organic?

There are a few ways to check if food is organic in India.

✅ Look for the logos: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has introduced two logos to help customers identify authentic organic products.
- The first logo is the Jaivik Bharat logo, which is a green leaf with the words "Jaivik Bharat" (Organic India) in the center.
- The second logo is the FSSAI organic logo, which is a blue and green circle with the words "FSSAI Organic" in the center. Both logos must be displayed on all organic food products sold in India.
- The third logo is issued by Government of India known as India Organic. India Organic is a certification mark for organically farmed food products manufactured in India.

✅ Check the product information: The product information label on an organic food product must include the following information:

- The name of the product
- The name and address of the manufacturer or distributor
- The contact information of the certification body
- The certification number
- The date of harvest
- The ingredients list
- The nutritional information

✅ Buy from a reputable source. When buying organic food, it is important to buy from a reputable source. This means buying from a store that you trust, or from a company that has a good reputation for selling organic food. You can also check the website of the FSSAI to find a list of approved organic food retailers in India.
